    Don't know exactly.
My theory: DL needed someone. He discounted Buffalo numbers as a bad situation (wrongly). And Sutter wanted Regehr. The only other real option was Bouwmeester, and Calgary wanted a 1st plus. (they got a 1st plus 2 prospects)

No idea why he gave him the 2 yr contract when he did. Made absolutely no sense.

    and not good?

He logged 20 minutes last night, was a plus 2, and was a BIG reason why Vancouver went 1 for 9 on the power play.

    One game? Don't be stupid.
His partner played excellently last night.
    And so did his goalie.
The big change in the PK has been Scrivens making saves at .940 instead of Quicks .880

Bull. He's been fine all season period. Not a single person contested the issue with his minutes... Just this stupid idea that he sucks.

Laugh at all the talking heads you want, but many of them played, coached, scouted and GM'd at this level... Some, even successfully... even prior to all this metric bulls***.

I was super critical on Regehr at the beginning of the season and he deserved it.

In the last 10-12 games Regehr has looked way more comfortable in the Kings System and has not stood out in bad way. Yes, he is slower and his offensive passing/transition is lacking for today's NHL but he is filling a role that the kings need right now. Say good bye to Matt Greene at the end of this year.

    Klesla belongs in the soft-east.

Not on this board. Plenty of others were.
And consider the Buffalo fans reaction to getting 2 2nds for him. they were laughing. couldn't believe what they got in return, much less that anyone wanted him.

    And the real problem.
Did some statistician sleep with your wife?
Hate that people want objective proof not just the word of experience?

The majority of the public doesn't want to think about corsi or fenwick either. Notice the reaction Jim got with his Corsi fling. They just want to watch their team. So don't worry. you won't be inundated anytime soon.
Talking heads job is to entertain, not educate. Very few do both.

Whether you buy it or not, the stats evolution will continue. Smart GM's want any advantage they can get. Whether that's Capologists or statistical information.

Their is absolutely nothing wrong with the Kings D right now. Yeah we all nitpick but look at the results since Sutter switched pairings.
