Default Public Poll Concerning NHL Arena in Seattle

A poll of Seattleites appears to say "no" (for now anyway) to a publically funded new arena for South Seattle which would house NHL and NBA franchises. One of the main deterrents is that such an arena might disrupt cargo traffic moving to and from the docks and freeways, already made problematic by nearby Safeco Field and CenturyLink (formerly Quest) Field.

Completely agree. For years the subsidizing of professional sports teams with free venues in which to play has screwed over the taxpayers of the area in which they are built. Glendale is a perfect example. If it's such a great money maker let the team or teams build the arena and run it themselves.
