Not to nit pick but (here I go) of the 7 times the Ducks have made the playoffs they lost in the first round only twice.
So I think they have been pretty fantastic about making the playoffs count. In fact, in their last four playoff appearances they have:
2003 Lost in finals (4th round)
2006 Lost in 3rd round
2007 Won in finals (4th round)
2008 Lost in 1st round
Why the hell can't we do that even when we make the playoffs. I mean, we wet our pants when we make the 2nd round!
Ugh.
Kings Playoff Record in 41 years
Overall Record: 62-101 No titles
Ducks Playoff Record in I think 16 years
Playoff Appearances: 7
Overall Playoff Record: 44-33
Stanley Cup Championships: 2007
Wow. SJ is one big walking pile of fail. President's trophy en route to getting swept out of the playoffs by the 8th seed.
This is Doug Wilson's job right here if you ask me.
Thornton was damn near invisible and other than getting banged up in the 1st period, that's the only time I can remember hearing his name called.
That 0-12 on the pp really jumps out at you too. The ducks are giving them so many chances and they fall flat everytime. Although, I still think it will be the Ducks undoing before the playoffs are over.
What was the whole point of winning the President's Trophy again?
Oh right! Home ice advantage!![]()
