Line of the night from a Sharks fan on HFBoards:
"I want the sharks to be the pallbearers at my funeral so they can let me down one last time."
"In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully being clairvoyant in 1988.
The Los Angeles Kings - 2012 Stanley Cup Champions
On the subject of announcers, put me down as Remenda fan too. And while I'm usually not a "OMGWTFGaywurdsux" kinda guy, the whining last night just wouldn't f***ing STOP!
Well that was depressing. I'm not a huge Sharks fan but I'm rooting for them to go all the way. But it seems like it's just the same old Sharks, tear through the season and forget to set the alarm clocks for the playoffs. Granted, this series still has a long way to go, but I don't like the good feeling they just handed to Anaheim. That's the kind of feeling that a team can ride to the next round. It was almost like watching the Kings; a lot of shots but not great scoring chances, clueless on the PP, some bad passes or flubbed passes, and just an general lack of intensity. So the achilles heel of Anaheim looks great with 7 PK's and Hiller gets a shutout answering the question of whether or not he could spell Giguere.
Way to go SJ. You just made the series infinitely harder on yourselves.
