So that's what set Pavel off. I was watching that thinking, "So much for winning the Lady Bing again."

It doesn't surprise me that Heyward was blaming the whole thing on Datsyuk. He hates his guts and thinks he dives on every play. In third he got taken out (perfectly clean hard check), and remarked that Datsyuk was taking a dive trying to draw a penalty.

The Wings have to win game 7 so we don't have to watch this pathetic broadcast anymore.

I was channel surfing and I stumbled across the Ducks postgame show. I **** you not, Hayward described the whole thing as Datsyuk "facewashing him" and Nieds responding and not letting him get away with it, and how Hayward "absolutely loved it." He didn't mention any elbow at all, and I didn't see them play that replay that apparently aired on VS.; they just showed Datsyuk and Nieds exchanging punches (an aside: why is Datsyuk punching with his gloves on?!?)

Did anybody else see this, or even TiVo this and can post it? It's amazing how he described this. It was a few minutes after they game, when they're sitting in that bar area or whatever.

I can now understand why so many Ducks fans are so ignorant. They have a color man that can't tell the damn truth about anything. It still blows my mind how he absolutely skewed the whole thing.
totally agree, i ****ing hate ahlers and hayward, and from what i watched prime ticket DID NOT show the elbow which started the Niedermayer/Datysuk fight, and made it skew that detroit started it, and ****ing getzlaf getting into it with hossa started it all, need to suspend getzlaf & niedermayer

Not even close to what neidermeyer threw, you probably think browns hit on Hudler was clean also. You have just listened to the asshat duo of ahlers and hayward too much and let them brainwash you like all the other duck fans.

It is funny how ahlers and hayword bitch all game long how every opponent of the ducks get away with murder or anything is a borderline penalty against the opposition, yet the two asshats do not have a problem whatsoever with the ducks for being a team that throws late, cheap shots with a real intent to cause a serious injury.

I remember the bitchfest hayward had for avery every time he played the ducks, saying he was a cheap shot artist and wouldn't back up his actions but the snot nose perry does the same ****, maybe worse and he gives hayward a tingling feeling up his leg and a sparkle in his eye.

You're right, Niedermayer didn't even hit him in the face. If you go back and look at it in slow motion like I did you will see Niedermayer hits him in the left shoulder. Holmstrom's elbow hit a player directly in the mouth, it was much dirtier.

As for Brown's hit, which NHL rule did it break? It wasn't an elbow as his elbow was tucked in. Hudler had just gotten rid of the puck which you can see in real time.

How is Brown's hit any different than Steven's hit in game 6 of the '03 SCFs? Besides the pussification of the league of course.

Come on you will have to agree that the elbow by Niedermayer was a low blow. I mean come on Dats is like what 1/5 the size of Niedermayer. Also, what was up with the third man in on that situation who was holding Datsyuk back??? With the game, there were times that the Wings got outplayed, and took dumb @ss penalties. That is what cost them the game. I am not denying that. Holmstrom's elbow was bad, I will say that, but much of it was predicated by Weinewskie (or however you spell his name) being hit in the chest with the puck, and Homer reacting to a person that was coming from behind when it was Weinewskie getting u[p off of the ice. By the way, I am glad to see him back playing again and not up in a hospital

You must be a duck fan, you sound really tough, just like your team, and pussification? WTF is that suppose to mean, the ducks are the dirtiest and most classless team i have ever seen and that goes back to the broad street bullies days, and those flyer teams still played tough but by the code, something the ducks know nothing about.

Are you sure your not one of the ambiguously gay duo of ahlers/haywood?

I have no idea what Marchant was doing but Hossa was jumping in at the same time.

I am tough, especially on a message board.

If the Ducks are the dirtiest team you've ever seen, you haven't watched very much hockey.

In the 70's, 80's and 90's these types of things were very common. The league has gotten a lot softer in the past 10 years.

Those Broad Street Bullies played by the code for sure. Two handed slashes to ankles, shots from behind, punching guys while on the ice, all part of the code. I think you need a refresher of the code if you think the Broad Street Bullies played by it.

As for them being classless, so? I'd rather my team be tough and not a bunch of candy asses that have no idea how to throw them.

I am not saying that it does not go both ways. You know I say it that way. How the hell could Niedermayer not see Datsyuk, I mean I know Dats is smaller than Scott, but come on he is not from the lollipop guild. Out of all the fracas it just seemed like the Niedermayer situation was the least called for.

Sure Vishi05, for primitive fans, it's really fun to watch players trying to kill each other. I prefer watching fast paced, hard non-dirty hitting hockey without ANY slashes, elbows, fights and so on. Some say it's part of the game, some say it's a tradition, but I say **** all that.

    Here's a trade proposal:

Kings give the Ducks Gauthier, and the Ducks move to Russia. Deal?
