The Kings are still miles away from being near the Ducks, as much as I hate to say it.
They have a blueline with Pronger (strong as hell, willing to get dirty whenever, wherever) and Neidermayer (probably the most solid and fastest d-man next to Lidstrom).
They have Bobby Ryan (who is the real deal) as well as Perry and Getzlaf (who are damn good in their own right).
They have a top notch goalie coach who has made average/good goalies into great ones while with the team (Giguere, Bryzgalov, Hiller).
They have solid role players who were willing and able to go into the corners and battle.
They got Beauchemin back from long term injury.
They went up against the chokers of the WC in the 1st round.
As much as I hate to say it, the Ducks were just a better hockey team than the Kings. Figure that the past season and a half was them underachieving, not sucking. These playoffs prove they are still a powerful team. However, depending what goes on with the Neidermayers, Pronger, Giguere, and Selanne, the team could be pretty different next season.
