Thanks, Brian. Now I remember. And, of course, Skoula is now a Devil and Caputi is 21 years old and still an unknown quantity. I wonder what Burke was actually asking from Lombardi.

did not read all the threads, but i recall during the avery days it was reported somewhere that avery and fro were good friends, probably had something to do with fro ending up in NY. playing alongside gaborik is prob a plus in his eyes.

Being good for the playoffs does not mean he was good the whole season... Sure he played well.. but you can't base his performance off that one game.

Yet people are basing his ENTIRE CAREER on that one season. There's the rub right? There were also MULTIPLE times this past season when Fro was carrying the team on his back...ON THE THIRD LINE. There were also multiple times when the line he was on got red hot...then was split up to...ummm..."heat up" the other lines. Guess what happened? All three guys from that "hot line"...cooled off. Happened to the Parse/Richardson/Simmonds line too.

And for those of you saying that Fro is NOT a 1/2 liner...WTF was Brown doing up there? If ever there was a square peg round hole situation, it's Brown...the 40 goal scorer. For some reason we all went through over a season of Bropitar being forced down our throats while Fro was on line #3. Remember how well that combo worked? Yeah. Yet TM kept on trolling it out there...game after game...PP after PP.

Yes, there were times when Fro could have worked harder, but there were also times when he outworked the whole team.

like your research done on Stanley Cups and the under 21, i did extensive research about this whole Frolov and the big boss battle and came up with DICK, save for a small handful of slights about specific plays.

what i DID find was that this whole "three coaches have..." myth exists primarily with a handful of Kings fans on the internet and have in part been fueled by the bellows that is Jim Fox.

this includes conversations i've had with Dean Lombardi personally, a couple of people among the Kings organization, a couple of people within the league, and others.

and it's unfortunate that this site gets pruned every once in a while.
