I'm not remotely close to being qualified enough, informed enough, or plugged-in enough to rank each of these coaches, and, by the dearth of responses, it looks like I'm not the only one.

I gotta give credit Mike Yeo and Glen Gulutzan, although I don't know how much their coaching has to do with their team's success this season. I would be very interested to see what people with a deeper understanding of coaching and knowledge of current coaches have to say. For example, Claude Julien doesn't catch nearly as much praise as Bylsma, is Bylsma really a much better coach?

Yeah, after it's been here for a little bit I'll move it to the main board. I think it's funny to hear people whine about Terry Murray and then say that Julien is equal to Bylsma...when I don't think there's a single Bruin fan who would say that.

who says that? their systems (and philosophies) are entirely different

How can you possibly interpret my post to say their systems are comparable? What words did I type that could mean that?

Isn't the average life span of an NHL coach somewhere in the 3 to 4 season range?
