I hope he makes the transition to former player well. Glad he's retiring without the farve like circus that Niedermeyer enjoys putting on every season. I don't blame him for doing what he did, but neither do I agree with it.
While they drown themselves in a nice 30 year old single malt scotch...
PS. I really hope they don't retire his jersey...if they do, that should be the one game everyone boycots...he maybe the only player to get booed at his own jersey retirement, so let's save the fans from all the media scrutiny that we'd get and not retire his jersey. In fact I say we make his jersey a sacrafice to the hockey gods and burn it.

Some will most likely give me bad Karma because of the following, but I'm sad to hear about this.
I've had the oppertunity to meet him and he is a total class act. I grew up watching him on the Kings and it was sad to see him get traded to Colorado but eventually he returned.
