I don't get what Dallas is doing, bummer they are no longer in our Division.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Actually, its not. Roy is not the same player he was, and he's UFA next summer and would likely NOT re-sign in Buffalo. He's going UFA.Originally Posted by Brown23

After thinking this over a bit, what I THINK Niewy is doing is preparing to blow it up. Sure, he's got 6 NHL caliber guys up front, but when they get their asses handed to them regularly this season by the Wings/Hawks/Preds/Blues (Who are the 4 playoff teams right now in that division), he's got another deadline UFA to deal for prospects and picks and blow it up right. Lehtonen/Roy/Morrow/Ryder/Nystrom, when they aren't in playoff contention, are certainly going to the highest bidders for prospects and picks.
