I'm glad there are so many die hard fans here in LA but for every one of us there are 10 more in a city like Toronto. I'm not going to cry into my pillow tonight because Ryan doesn't like us.

There may be more fans in Toronto or Calgary, but what are their options when it comes to professional sports there?
It's just a matter of having less options.
When it comes to the fanaticism of those attending the games, I didn't see a whole lot of difference between Kings fans and Vancouver/Calgary fans.
I attended both of their home openers last year.
Don't know what all the hype was about their fans.

People arrive late to Kings games?
There's a bit of a traffic problem in L.A.

I'm not gonna lose sleep over Smyth's comments either, but I will respond to what I think of him for making them.

And as far as having the best and most loyal fan base....... I'll be quoting you when you're asking for such and such player to get traded. You wear your loyalty on your sleeve.

I have NEVER asked for a player to get traded so I am unsure what you are refering to. There are certain players I don't care for but I have never said 'trade them'.

I can't wait to boo Smyth the next time he comes to Staples. F U Smyth!

Reporters tend to out players on the spot when they ask certain questions but players involved in any kind of controversial activity should at least expect the questions and be prepared. Like doughty. Every person that puts a microphone in his face for the next 3 months is going to ask some sort of question about the 'negotiations'. He will need to have a standard, politically correct answer for them - and so far he has. Smyth on the other hand doesn't care. He got what he wanted which was to end his career in Edmonton. So while I'm not losing sleep over his comments hes probably not losing sleep over the crushed feelings here in LA.

Then you are sitting in the wrong section. Every game I have been to, I always have a good hockey converstaion with somebody.

So he would rather have louder/rowdier fans than be competing for a cup?

Not that I need to see a link but man this is sad. It's not just the slap in the face from Canada but implicit is the colorado and long island were better by omission. I have much less respect for him as a professional.

I will boo Smyth when I see him play against the Kings. Not because he wanted out of here, but because he is an opponent. Boo All Opponents!

Kings Fans have to just deal with it, most players want to be Rock Stars, it's not gonna happen in LA.
