Wow on the arrogant front, seems like someone didn't like himWords I've heard used to describe Kekalainen, who is visually arresting: 1. arrogant; 2. intense; 3. demanding; 4. relentless.
usually people use the word confident when they are looking to apply the term as a compliment
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Some things I expect out of Jarmo in his first 90 days:
He will come after Bernier hard.
He will pry Ian Cole out of St. Louis, and possibly a pick, in exchange for some deadline help. Cole will get inserted into the top 4, and there he will stay so that he can figure it out.
He will try and load up on as many 2nd and 3rd round picks that he can in this draft, moving whatever spare parts he can to get them.
He will shuffle his latter 2 1st round picks backwards as the draft goes grabbing more picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds in this draft, and maybe even parlaying other picks into next year.
He will tank them further than they have already in hopes of getting #1 overall and grabbing Seth "Popeye Jr." Jones. If he doesn't get that pick outright, he will trade up to ensure he gets him.

Our 1st, which unfortunately looks like it will be a top 10-15 pick, would be a little steep for O'Reilly no?
I get the sense Jarmo values that pick to an almost unmovable level. He seems like a full blown scouting, rebuilding GM as opposed to a wheeler and dealer. I'd imagine that pick ends up turning into a blue chip defenseman, and his first big flag in the ground for that organization.
Either way, consider me a believer that he can turn Columbus into a competitive hockey team for the first time.
