He may be an a-hole in other respects but he did good with this. The issue of gay marriage is one of civil rights. No matter what you think about homosexuality, every adult citizen should have the same rights as everyone else. I don't understand how anyone over the age of 21 is so freaked out over homosexuality. All you have to do is live life in the real world & you're going to get to know people who are gay. I have at least 4 relatives who are gay or lesbian and most of them come from very religious families. And not to get on a religious rant but having grown up with that background, I'd probably be less disillusioned about religion if there was more tolerance preached.
Even if he is being an "attention whore," (and I don't think he is, by the way) I'm glad he's doing it to further something he considers a worthy cause.
