what did happen to the original thread? I'm not an Avery fan, since he screwed the Kings but besides being a douche, ******* on the ice what has he done off the ice? In the other thread people were sending him to Siberia for this transgression but really other players get away with far more crap especially in other sports, all he did was call the LAPD pigs but in LA thats an everyday occurrence and he was at home partying, not driving drunk or beating up on people. so yeah he's a dick but this story is blown out of porportion, I'd rather have a dickhead player over a rapist.
He shoved the police because of a "loud noise complaint"? As if he was in the right here...like he's ever in the right. His antics both on and off the ice demonstrate just what a punkass he really is. I just wish they would have tasered his ass. But most cops don't taser suspects when they turtle either.
One my buddies I play hockey with is a LA Police Officer. When he's sitting on the bench next to me I sometimes ask him if his sweat smells like bacon. He just laughs and asks me if my sweat smells like s***, because I'm a wastewater engineer. The point is the timing of the line. If he pulled me over and I didn't know him and said the bacon thing he'd be pissed, but when I say it on the bench he laughs.
On ice antics should not be continued off the ice. Avery needs to learn this.
