Seattle wants NHL and NBA

I've been wanting teams in Seattle and/or Portland for a long time. I hope it happens. The northwest is completely bare with the exception of Vancouver.

i agree. i went to a couple of Thunderbirds games when i lived there... i literally lived two blocks from the Seattle Center - it was a blast.

where would the arena be?

Same area where the Mariners and Seahawks play

It would be built on land Hansen already owns parcels in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood where the Seahawks and Mariners already play.

Can't tell you how excited I am by this prospect. It would be ironic if the Coyotes relocated here as I would be able to root for Tippett's team, only it would be against the Kings.

Im hearing that a local radio show in Seattle was having a re-name the Phoenix Coyotes contest for when they move to Seattle...

The Coyotes situtation will be over before that arena gets built. Whether its relocation or they find a local buyer.

Unless it's the Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey Devils or New York Islanders moving to Seattle I don't see how this helps anything.

Meanwhile, I want to move to Seattle. Most beautiful place I have ever been in my life. People know how to drive in rain and they are hella nice regardless of what you look like. I want to get a monstrous Saint Bernard and just live in a place where there is so much beautiful plant life because the eco-system does not hate them. An NHL team would be wonderful there...and I could hang with my brother-from-another-mother Roenick. Sign me up.

I don't get it JD, why would you begrudge your team following you to your new home? Shouldn't that make you happy?
Until they move again 8 years later of course. . .
