I always refer to the San Francisco area as "up north". *Shrugs* You gotta remember... we don't think about Canada at all. Only when a Canadian team is playing us.

When I lived in San Jose, L.A was down South and San Francisco was still up North.

Just for the record, anything north of Santa Barbara is no longer even California. It's southern Oregon.
