Let's say you trade your 2013 and 2014 1st round picks back in 2011 to acquire a guy to make a run at the Cup, then you make an offer sheet like this and Nashville does not match. Does that mean you lose your 1st rounders in 2015, '16, '17, '18...so in essence you may not have a 1st round pick for 6 years?
Also, let's say the offer sheet is made, you lose your first round picks...then later this year you trade a player to a team and get a first rounder, does that pick automatically go to Nashville and then you would get back your pick in 2018, or do they only get the picks you already have on the books at the time the offer sheet is made? Say you have a first round pick at #28 but through a trade you get a first rounder that is #16, does Nashville get both, or can they pick and choose?
