Actually, I agree with both of you. But we do not live in a world where common sense/humor is in abundance. It was a bad decision plain & simple. Regardless of whether you think Torres should have the RIGHT to do it...well, he just shouldn't have, period. You are in the public eye in a biased, over-sensitive world...don't be stupid. and yes Cheap, there is a horrible double standard, rascism is rascism. Although I don't think either of these cases qualify because I don't think malice was intended. But man...the whole 'blackface' thing, that is just something you do not do. I just hope that it isn't seen by the non-hockey fan as something more than it is, but since the press loves to play up the negative it probably will be.

Seriously who ****ing cares, it's Halloween! People need to realize this is the 2000s and not the 1800s. What about Dwayne Wade trying to be Justin Timberlake and painting his face white last year? It was no big deal. God these people really grind my gears about making a big deal out of this.
