Default Sid in California seeing a neurological spine specialist

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Saturday that Crosby arrived in California on Friday to see Dr. Robert S. Bray, a neurological spine specialist, as he attempts to come back from concussion-like symptoms.

"Sidney is meeting with some of the top specialists in the country as he continues his recovery,".....The Penguins' captain traveled with the team to Washington and Florida and skated with the team for two days before going to Atlanta to see Dr. Ted Carrick, a specialist in chiropractic neurology. The Penguins said Crosby spent several days with Dr. Carrick before heading to California to visit with Dr. Bray.

huh, wonder if it's like a spinal concussion, that would definitely mess someone up for a while but I didn't know that could happen accidentally.

Could this mean that there's more wrong with Crosby than a concussion? Does make one wonder.

I just think that it shows that doctors have no idea how to truly treat a brain injury. Poor guy is all but done. He can keep trying to come back, but he'll be out again and again when he takes a sudden hit. Won't even have to be hard. Hell, look at what put him out this time.

Well, so it's now been announced that it is a spinal injury. Those Docs in Pittsburg not looking so bright about now.

I think they said it's speculated that he has two fractured vertebrae, not that it was never a concussion.

Oh yes, I know. It's a completely different injury. Problem is the Pittsburg Drs' never found that out. The kid musta been complaining abt neck pain and yet, they never picked up on that? Still not looking good for those guys; whoever they are.

Strange that he didn't turn to the Canadian health care system. I wonder why.

Pretty sure that if the best neurological spine specialist was in Canada, Sid would go there, hell if the best was in Mexico, he'd go there as well. Pretty sure he's going to go anywhere on the planet if it helps him resume his career.

Because he has enormous amounts of resources and money to a degree most people can only dream of at his disposal?
