    I didn't see any possible way that the Pens let him walk. That being said with all the concussions and injuries he has had this deal is not without risk.

    Concussions aren't really like recurring knee injuries. If the concussions continue, he'll retire and they'll be off the hook for that money. If they don't, you are paying the league's best player what he deserves. Makes sense.

    Hard to say how this works out but you have to role the dice optimistically I think with this kind of player. It's not like he's an unproven commodity. I can't imagine him playing unless he's up to his standards. The uncertainty sucks but what can you do. Kinda like Lindros I guess......
