Thread: Simmonds Wearing an "A" in Preseason game

Watching the Leafs v. Flyers game on NHL network and noticed that Simmonds and Schenn are on a line together and Simmonds is wearing an "A".

Yeah I'm watching it right now on NHL network. The Leafs announcers are bagging on the Flyers for the trade and one of them said he would have Mike Richards on his team in a heartbeat. Also, they hate that Carters and Richards are labeled bad locker room guys without any evidence and it strictly came from the press and not the management team.The announcers keep talking about Schenn and Simmonds. 44% of their offense came from Carter and Richards and they keep stressing how the Flyers need to find offense this season.

I hate how the Leafs play-by-play guy kept calling him Simons though. Ugh!


And yeah, it's pretty cool to see the A on him but in the preseason a lot of guys with any range of experience get a letter. Trust me, I know. Back in early 95 I got my Luc Robitaille Penguins jersey customized with an A on it cause he wore it in a preseason game. Granted, I was 14 at the time, so I can get away with that, but certainly not now, haha.
