JVR is exactly the type of winger that this team is missing. I'd be thrilled if the Kings acquired him.

Trading a young Simmonds who we will have for years to come for an injury prone UFA-to-be makes absolutely no sense. Would be pretty terrible asset management on our part.

Not that I have lost faith yet on that Russian... But if that does not work out, I would be thrilled if we would get Gagne for something that is kind of cheap.

Young starting goaltender with an extremely cap-friendly contract AND up-and-coming young star forward with RFA status for a UFA-to-be that has missed significant time to injury in 2 of the last 3 seasons?

What realm of reality do you live in?

In what realm of reality do 40 goal TEAM PLAYERS grow on trees?

Can you get those kinda players for scrub prospects and mid picks?

he's three years and multiple injuries removed from being a 40-goal guy.
picks and prospects is about all they can take if they want to sign someone else. they have leino and giroux to take over - Gagne isn't worth as much to them right now as the cap space is.

moller/teubert/1st for Gagne/JVR would do it. teubert ready to take over for pronger in two years, moller can play now if they need him and he's cheap, plus a pick for the future.

JVR would be tough for them to give up and may not be the 2nd piece - but that would be awesome.

I am pretty sure that JVR and Giroux are not going anywhere anytime soon.

i'd take leino - if the flyers want to get anyone that can help them this year they would need to add something other than gagne.
