SJ Trades Heatly to Minn for Havlat

Sharks get:
-2.5Mil in cap space to resign Burns and Couture later.
-Havlat: An injury prone winger who, if healthy, is good for 20-30G and 50-65 points.

Wild get:
An elite winger who can get anywhere from 30-50 goals(as he has in the past) and anywhere from 60-90 points.

Sharks lose some scoring here. And while the addition of Burns will surely help, Boyle is getting up there in age(35) and is starting to slow down so its almost a wash.

It's gonna be one hell of a battle between the Kings and Sharks for the pacific next season...

If Couture has a sophmore slump or Havlat goes down with an injury I think we take the division.

Elaborating on what i had said earlier i think this hurts San Jose offensively due to the fact that in the last 8 years Havlat has hit the 20 goal mark only 3 times and has hit the 30 goal plateau once in his entire career.


This could be good news for us but doesn't make to much of a difference. Havlat is still an amazing talent, nonetheless

Sharks are gonna be one fast freakin' team next year...that much is for certain. Burns and Havlat for Setoguchi and Heatley=Sharks win that deal big time. Wild will be interesting to watch but shouldn't be a threat to really do anything.

Sens fans shouldn't even boo him when he comes to Ottawa for the first game. It should just be a chorus of laughter for 60 minutes.

Charlie Coyle is supposed to be the real deal and Zach Philips could be good too. The Wild certainly didn't lose on the Burns-Setoguchi trade.

He was crappy in the playoffs....he virtually disappeared after that 1st period of the 1st game against the Kings...

I'm sure it ain't the last stop either.

I don't know about some of these teams though. It's like what we call in electronics "shot gun" troubleshooting. No thought or analysis in it...just make changes! Yeah...that'll solve the problem. It's almost like certain LGK members are actually running the show in SJ, Florida and Philly.
