Weird...
Crazy. SJ definitely needed to do something after they choked in the playoffs once again and Heatley played horrible in the playoffs. I'm not surprised.
WOW
So Heatley had to waive his no trade clause right ? Im surprised he did.
WTFFF ?
Heatley must really be bad in the locker room. San Jose got weaker with this move , even though he is a no show in the playoffs he still has elite skill. Havlat is more injury prone
Sharks ship Heatley to Wild for Martin Havlat
So does this make the Sharks weaker and/or the Kings Stronger in the Pacific Division?
Also, I'm guessing they are trying to save some cap space to re-sign Burns after next season; SJ gained about $2.5 mil from this trade.
San Jose saves $2.5 million with this move. Wondering if this is setting the stage for something else. I don't think they truly feel they got stronger with this move.
Nice that we were able to get a 20g LW for free while SJ had to trade Heatley.
Sharks got weaker for sure... havlat is good, but hes no heatly...
They need that flexibility going forward, and another defenseman now.
