Sit on his hands?
He has been suspended for two games.
Shanahan said Clowe left the bench legally because Pavelski was ready to change, so why was he suspended at all? Not sure I understand this ruling.
I guess my problem is his ruling of "legal" vs. "illegal." I just don't see how he can deem it legal when it was clearly Too Many Players On The Ice. Regardless of the fact that Clowe was supposed to take the next shift, Pavelski did not change and was playing the puck in front of the bench. After Pavelski was hit, he made no attempt to leave the ice surface. Clowe is not allowed to be on the ice at that point under any other circumstance because San Jose would be hit with a Too Many Players penalty for having an illegal skater on the ice.
I don't agree that Pavelski was ready to make a change as the only reason he was in the vicinty of the bench was to play the puck.
Off with his head!
Should've been 10. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Insane Clowe Posse needs to get back on the fire engine with the rest of his cohorts.
