Crosby will become more mature with time and age. How ****ing boring would it be if he showed up and was perfectly polished and completely perfect??? It would be dull as ****. He's already dull as ****. I encourage him to be less boring. I want him to ****ing spit in Hossas face the next time he sees him. I want him to wear an undershirt that says "Go back to Russia, Alex" the next time they play the Caps and if he scores a goal... rip off his jersey, skate to center ice and do a dance.

It's a ****ing game kids.

Class does not equal boring...You want a league full of character players like Avery? The NHL can quickly devolve into the NBA/NFL/or MLB. The main complaint against Crosby is that he is immature...he will not make that go away by making rookie mistakes as far as handling himself. When you wear the 'C' you represent your team, your city, your organization...so you damned well better do all the right things, especially on national television in a game 7 of the Finals. I'm done with this argument. Crosby should have been the first MAN in line to shake hands...argue about all the other crap as much as you like.

Well... I thought it was fairly obvious that I was being facetious in describing the behavior I want from Crosby. But I feel my point still stands.

Touching the conference trophy has nothing to do with "class" or "respecting tradition". It was a very recent tradition... and traditions like rules... exist only to be broken, mended or updated.

For my money.... questions of "class" come up when someone intends to do something. From everything that Crosby has said... it didn't sound like he was trying to slight anybody... so he apologized. Nuff said. IF he continues to do it... then I say slam away... but so far all anybody can point to is some questionable plays in the "heat of the moment" and now this complete non-issue.

As for my off topic HEROES bashing... what would I be without my TRADITIONS?!
