So, in turn, might as well defend the non-scumbag Bruins fans that are probably just as offended as we are.

I agree with you in principle here but I think in reality you are way too charitable to Boston fans. Yes if the situation if reversed you probably find a few racist comments from a couple of idiot Kings fans if you scoured the internet. But to suggest it would at the same level as what we see here with Bruin fans I believe is a stretch. Talk to anyone who grew up in Boston or lived there for any period of time and you will find that this sort of thing is way more common and present in Boston than cities like L.A. or even New York for that matter. I say this next comment at the risk of causing offense to some and I do not mean to do so, but I think it is rather obvious that in any city where racial identity and pride is drilled into people from childbirth and is at the core of peoples lives it leads to more incidents such as we see here.
