Let's go Bruins!
The irony is that the big bad Bruins of the East are not a team that I can easily root for. They play a rough, borderline game with a lot of chippy play (as well as the occasional dirty hit). There are a lot of reasons not to like the Bruins. Chara's stanchion hit on Pacioretty, Lucic's a spot-picker, Gregory Campbell is the son of Colin, etc. etc.
But Vancouver plays the game in a way that perverts what hockey is all about. Lots of diving (even Luongo, who has got to be the biggest diving goaltender in the league), pests, and then marginal hits by their agitators.
I was torn going into the Final, but I realized that dealing with the Canucks and their awful fans on a regular basis here in the Western Conference was going to be unbearable.
So... go Boston? Eww...
DC hasn't been active lately. I can't say I blame him, if I was in his position I'd tire quickly of a group of hockey fans talking crap against my favorite team.
Of course, I think it's a bit deserved, and I've made my feelings about the Canucks known many times before. They are just not a likeable group of guys, period. They remind me a lot of the Ducks of '07 and Nucks fans in general remind me more and more of Ducks fans.
You know when you out-whine and out-annoy Boston fans, something is friggin' up. Personally, I got all I could stand from that fanbase last playoffs. Nothing I've seen this season has even remotely changed my opinion of that team and their fans.
I really like Drunken Crunker so this is not about him. Vancouver fans are obnoxious. I don't like the team at all either. I did enjoy seeing Boston players sticking their fingers near Burrows mouth everytime there was a confrontation. I found that funny, but don't agree with Murphy on his "ruling" but then we know how fair he is don't we?
That's what hockey needs is a villain. I was also neutral but now won't miss a game. I think it's good having this this crap going on. Emotional and exciting stuff...
