    Default Tarasenko

Had a chance to watch the Blues vs. Preds game yesterday and it looks like the Blues hit a home run there. Kid is built like a tank, has a pair of sweet hands and good hockey sense. Too early to tell but with 5 points in the first two games the future is bright and he seems to be making a statement with his game that the future is now.

I think Ottowa wanted Forbort and when the Kings picked him at 15th, Brian Murray traded the 16th for D Runblad drafted 17th in 09 . If Tarasenko continues to develop he's gonna make a lot of GMs unhappy they passed on him.

I hope Forbort pans out and that Taffoli continues to progress but when I watch Tarasenko hands and skating ability at high speed, I can't help but think of what if...

I watched that game also. Yup, damned impressive. Those kinds of skill are why I love watching this game.

I watched both of the games he played in and wow, he undressed some of Detroit's top D and had some sick goals. I am glad I picked him up in my fantasy league!

his skill isn't what has impressed me most... you'll find tons of that new jack s*** with a good handful of young players - Brunner's shootout goal, for example... even Oshie's, though both are a bit older. what i thought was impressive was that despite being on the smaller side, his willingness to engage the defense laterally through the high traffic areas. that kind of confidence normally occurs when you have a couple of years in.

His motor is incredible. His nose for the net makes him so very dangerous in the offensive zone. He's constantly involved in the dirtiest of areas. This kid looks like the real ****ing deal.

I just hope he can stay healthy.

Blues' drafting has been stellar for the past few years, and they have more coming in.
