If Neidermeyer had an issue let him take him, or have pronger come over and handle it, or Moen...I think Moen was in the right...but Giguere coming out from behind stabbing Ott in the legs and then getting him in a headlock is a little bitch move.

You apparently want me to be a smart ass, when I thought there was an assumed acknowledgement that they are infact not the same thing. No they're not the same things. They're in different location, and also different in the possible severity of the action. You hit a guy in the back of the knee you could put him out for a while. You hit a guy on top of the shoulder with both hands on the stick and you could put him out for a while. You hit a guy on the back of the neck with hands on the stick and you could put him out for good.

You, and most of the other ass hats in this thread are this worked up PURELY because it's Giggy and the Ducks. As has been said, if it was a Kings goalie, you'd be ****ting yourselves citing how great it is to see the team come togther and stand up for each other. How about Hextall? I'm sure you all think he's some hero, but apparently you don't know half the **** he used to do in his playing days. But all is forgiven now that he's on the home team, right?

What Giggy did, wasn't a two handed tomahawk slash. What he did, is the same thing players on every team in every league do at times during the game. And no one says a ****ing thing about it. If Gauthier didn't get a penalty for his elbow, you wouldn't have given a ****. It's actually disgusting how much rope you'll give a guy in a Kings sweater but want to hang someone on a team you don't like.

Maybe it's time for you and your cohorts to back of the purple haze and try a dose of reality.

If you think chopping a guy in the nuts is ever anything but intent to injure, you,sir, are a fool. This has nothing to do with Goat. You're bringing in all this to fog the issue.

I really don't like Ott. I think he's a huge hack. However, if you think that what he was doing, which was basically just stuff done around the net all the time (even in beer league, I mean, come on. If Scotty can't take that, he shouldn't be playing this game) justifies what Giggy did, then I can only think of 2 possible conclusions:

1) You've never played, so you don't understand what it means to go after someone, or to have someone go after you in that manner. Fine. It's not your fault you never took up to sport, but as a man, you should still know what that means. Which leads me to possible conclusion...

2) You're a woman, so you can't understand what going after a guy's groin means.

If that's the case, cool. I love me some women, and you got some fire. We should grab a cup of tea (I hate coffee).

This wasn't Ott going Todd Bertuzzi on anyone, this was hard shoving. If you can't take that in hockey, you really should neither play, nor watch.

I've played (mostly as a keeper but as a dman too) since I was 7 years old. And I'm a guy, who has indeed seen many people give a shot to the boys and many people take them. It's called a cup... ever hear of one? Maybe you're the woman, which is cool.

If you watch the video (especially the replay from the center ice view) it's clear that Giguere's goal stick catches Ott's right foot from the front, effectively tripping him, which means this whole argument is based on an entirely false observation by Mr. Monger. Ooops.

First off, if you're not that gifted, then I feel sorry for you.

Secondly, the argument is not about this specific instance, but rather the principle of going after someone's "family jewels," as you so eloquently put it. While the original post was about something else, my arguments still remain valid.

Plus hacking someone's ankle is even more likely to cause injury to put someone out games, because according to PITA, cups are bulletproof. He has yet to make that statement about skates, though we'll see. Only time will tell.
