    Eklund done cracked me up.

    a quick hit with a poll about who the Ducks were likely to keep this summer if it came down to making a choice between Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry...

    My sources say that despite the great start by Getzlaf if the Ducks can keep one of the pair it would be Corey Perry that they hook their wagons to. It is one of those classic debates and it reminds me of the summer the Senators had to decide between Chara and Redden. At the time I felt the Sens were making the right call by keeping Redden, but history would prove otherwise as Chara would continue to develop into the mega Superstar he has become.
    - and the poll results so far also favor Perry...


    if the Ducks were actually to decide to keep Perry over Getzlaf, i'd literally laugh my ass right the f*** off!

    at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

    All people seem to remember is a 50-goal, Hart winning season...and ignore that it was a statistical anomaly. I don't think he will even have a 40-goal season ever again

    They should also be ignoring the statistical anomaly that was Getzlaf's last year, and drilling down to what he's done to that point.
