    If they really want to crack down on it, don't call the trip/hook/slash/etc. As long as they still call both, guys will still do it. As it is, they barely call dives anyway and you see it happen a dozen times a game. It's a penalty, why not call it?

    If they really want to crack down with diving, the best way to start is to call them against Vancouver.

    Awesome. The skaters take slapshots to their shin guards and pop back up but a half-hearted slash brings a player down like a redwood.
