What's Up with Wade Redden?

When he was with the Ottawa Senators he was one of their corner stone d-men.

Wade Redden get signed by the NY Rangers with a 6yr $39M contract that would pay him a cap hit of $6.5M a season.

So since W. Redden been with the Rangers, I don't get why he been on this downward slope. What gives?

It seems that since W. Redden got sent to their AHL club, that he hasn't been let up a bit to prove himself with the Rangers again.

I've heard about Redden's defensive lapses while he did play with the Rangers, but that was it.

Redden was overvalued. Rangers overpaid for him like many others. Don't think he's been the same since his knee and ankle surgeries.

Redden's talent left around the same time as Zdeno Chara.
