Winnepeg Jets logo revealed

I like the jet engine shoulder patch in this mock-up.

They went with blue and gray which is very nice......but...but...there's no black! C'mon!

Anyone familiar with the concept that less is more?

These jerseys are instant hockey classics and over time will stand up to any Original 6 brand.

I can see the 1st NHL Jets logo (which is actually the 2nd, they used a different one in the WHA) being used as the 3rd jersey. Only one word comes to mind when I think of the 1990s Jets logo and uniforms: dated.

Tying the team name to some local history with the airforce was genious too. The original owner in the WHA picked the name Jets because he was a fan of the NY Jets.

My god those are awful. Dated minor league flavor of 4 years ago jerseys. Look at how busy they are. That's not a hockey jersey. Keep it simple!

I grew up in Canada so yeah I do. So should the Kings put stars and stripes on their logo?

I always figured it was some sort of Canadian inferiority complex. I've watched enough Canadian broadcasts to note that the Canadian flag and maple leaf are thrown into just about everything. Canadian tire. The whole "this is OUR game" thing. Molson Canadian. Even McDonald's commercials end with the maple leaf incorporated into the McDonald's logo...plus you guys have your own internet domain (.ca). Add in the fact that the Jets are coming back from a failed American city and I chalked up incorporating the maple leaf into the logo as just more Canadian nationalism.

Whatever it is, it's stupid.
