Pretty even still. Canada not getting it in or out of the zone very well at times. 0-0

US held them to no shots until around the 10 minute mark of the 1st. Canada seemed to turn in on towards the end of the period, the 2nd and 3rd should be exciting!

TSN Radio is praising Fucale. Sounds like it's deserved.

Yeah, shots were very uneven like 11-4, so Fucale did hold them in with some big saves.

Fucale has been amazing. He has stopped high percentage shots by the USA. Eichel has played to the hype. USA was dominating the first half of the period, but Canada has had a couple of good chances at the end. Giles hasn't been tested as much as Fucale. The Fasching line has been good throughout the WJC. I love the uniforms! Give credit to Canada for bending but not breaking. They took stupid penalties yesterday, but only one this period.

They figured to play reckless against slovakia, it only takes one play for them to lose their **** with USA though.

USA getting a PP. Hope they can score. Their first chance was good, but they can do better in keeping it in the offensive zone.

Stupid penalty on Giles. Horvat got close and Giles didn't know and hit him with his stick. Automatic call.

    YES!! Barber scores!! USA 1-0
