Seriously if they ever win a cup in my lifetime I will go to their city and riot for them. They DON'T DESERVE IT. None of em, top to bottom.

I may have hated Detroit/Colorado back in the day, but it's hard to say they didn't, or their fans didn't deserve a cup. This organization doesn't.

And like the article points out...the last 4 riots have been in Canadian cities..after they have lost. It's not like you couldn't see it coming. Meanwhile, Colorado, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh...they all had cup wins that DIDN'T involve a massive riot....more importantly...Pittsburgh, Detroit, Colorado, Calgary...they all had cup LOSSES that didn't involve a massive riot afterwards. This responsibility lies solely on the personal responsibility of the fan, and the event planners of the arena. NOT the NHL.

It's the equivalent of blaming the government for everything. They don't want to take on responsibility, they'd rather pass the buck and act like their is nothing wrong with their city/organization. Just like their players, GM and fans. No one should make excuses for them.

And I also love how the story has changed...oh it was anarchists from outside the city that disguised themselves as Canucks fans...oh it was a few drunken belligerent Canucks fans who cause ALL the problems....oh it was cause the NHL didn't help us.

No bitches, it's because you didn't take the necessary precautions, IE; better security, better crowd control, better preparation in general for this event.

AGAIN, look at what the Lakers did after the riots the first time. They stepped up security, crowd control, and preparedness and it was WAY WAY WAY better.


Vancouver has no one to blame but themselves. Keep crying about it. Keep crying about bad calls, bad reffing, our series against them last year, the Conference finals against Chicago last year, and the Finals this year. Keep making excuses. Seriously. They are a joke.

In my experience people who need coddling typically walk themselves into outrageous cost paying circumstances in order to maintain that right. All I'm saying is if the NHL wants another revenue stream, it's right there. Take it off the hands of these cities, for a price.

This is rich, from the city that used such a dangerous luge / sled track for the Olympics that someone ended up dead, and had such a high jump at the end of the downhill & GS runs that a number of skiers were injured. I don't recall, but the odds are that they tried to blame somebody else for these things, too.

I guess they're growing more than flowers in Butchart Gardens...

the NHL should have let us win, then there wouldn't have been riots! In fact, if we don't win it all next year, we'll riot again!

I hope the Kings knock the **** out of them in the playoffs this year.
