Scamway....ugh, I deal with a few of their folks at work, they always seem to call me a week later asking if I would be interested in a "business opportunity." I make enough money without having to sell ****ty overpriced products to my friends.

Wow....a whole new low. I would have thinking it would have been easier and cheaper to just do a partnership with the entire city of Detroit. Not as offensive either.

If the Kings ever do this, I will have a complete ****-fit. I hate the Wings, but, I can't believe a classic franchise like theirs is resorting to being sponsored by someone. Especially after 86 years! Can you imagine the "Los Angeles Kings brought to you by Petsmart" or some crap like that?

The bastardization of corporate sponsorship & sports teams seems to be getting worse. You notice they mention having logos on the soccer teams' uniforms? That's probably what the NHL is looking into. All for the almighty $$$$$!

They already play at "Staples" Center and have the Kings "DISC" power-play.

This is just one tiny step away.

The city of Detroit doesn't have the cash to make that happen.

That patch looks like crap on the jersey. Would not have been quite as bad if the patch was red and just the white letters showed. I am afraid it is only a matter of time until more teams do this. I hate it with a passion but we all know how big business loves to make money and for them the only thing that matters is profit.

With all the automotive companies in the Detroit area, it would seem like a no brainer to have one of the big three be the presenting sponsor "Detroit Red Wings presented by Chevrolet", at least they don't have the major dislike most people have for that ponzi scheme.
