    Default After years of lurking...

    Just want to quickly introduce myself, my name is Allen and I live out in Lubbock, Texas (though I was born and raised in LA). I've been reading this site for years now and just felt that it is finally time that I start actually posting.

    Peer pressure drove me into becoming a Kings fan actually! When I was a kid (I was 8 or so when I started watching) I was trying to make friends who all happened to be hockey fans. Well in the end they still made fun of me, but I ended up becoming Kings fan so I think it worked out. I started watching during the 1994 season, I figured that the Kings were the better team to root for (over the Ducks) since they had the best player in the league and had just been 3 wins away from winning it all! How could I ever go wrong there!

    My favorite player is Jaroslav Modry... Just kidding... I've actually got a soft spot for Doughty at the moment, I can't wait to see what he does when he actually reaches his full potential!

    Anyway glad to join the community!

    You said short. Does that make you one of the "Little People" ?
    at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.
