Wile E. and Unruely35,
Thanks for visiting my LGK Introductions thread, Hitting it off, and rubbing your love connection in my face when I can’t even find a seat buddy.
c'mon, please? ...with sugar on top... come with me to arizona
I don’t want to be ‘that guy’ in Phoenix, cheering all by myself when the Kings score.
(or crying alone if they forget to)
Last night we were sitting behind a lone Dallas fan, even the girl he came with was wearing a Kings jersey and harassing him endlessly as the game was being dominated by the Home team.
When the Stars tied the game in the 3rd, and He was the only person standing in PR 3, he found a new BFF, a Dallas fan in the 200’s. Amid a sea of people with their heads in hands, the two Stars fans (strangers moments before) formed an instant bond. They were pointing at each other, shaking the logos on front of their jerseys for all to see, screaming in excitement ...and it looked like the most fun I’ve ever seen in my whole life! More fun than Evan and Miroki were having in Home-Ec.
I realize that the contrast between the excitement that the Dallas fans were experiencing, and the feeling of my own heart breaking in the same instant, may have exaggerated in my head the actual joy they shared in that moment.
But what if it didn’t?
and the joy was real, and We could be those guys!
(but in Phoenix)
…and not in gay Dallas Stars jerseys.
Some weirdo could chop me up into little bits, leaving me and my monkey mask in the desert.
…and my wife will be carving “I told you so, dumbass.” on my tombstone.
