From ATL to LA

Hey everyone, I just moved here two weeks ago from the Peach State after spending the first 22 years of my life there. I'm really looking forward to becoming a die hard Kings fan, but honestly don't know much about them - since trying to follow Western Conference hockey in Georgia is like trying to find a redneck in L.A. Haven't seen any yet, which is a good thing. haha all jokes aside though it's really not like that as much as the stereotypes make it out to be.

Anyways as this is my first time in L.A., does anyone have any tips/hints that you would give somebody like me regarding anything? (people, weird laws, driving habits, girls, entertainment, etc.)

read a lot of the post's before you start posting.
A lot of the good things here are the weather, so everything else depends on where you live, and what you are expecting from LA, be careful of the women here most seem to be money greeding whores that won't give it up to just you.
To meet people from here go to the games, and at the end of the periods they seem to have a place where they all hang out. There in good sized groups.

Thanks for the tip on the women. I know for a fact that considering what I drive now, if I end up going on a second date with a girl then she can't be looking to score that much from my wallet. ;)

Chances are I probably won't get to go to a game until next season since right now I'm living off of what I saved up and looking for a job (great timing, I know)...although it would be pretty cool if my first trip to the Staples Center (any nicknames for it?) was to see the Thrashers lose when they come here in February.

Yes, it's been awhile so I'll have to watch it again. I also have the prequel or sequel (can't remember) called Made. But Swingers is definitely the one to watch.
