Crosscheck in from So. County!
Hello Everyone,
Just registered, Kings fan since '89 or '90 ... I remember hearing some Frenchie Rookie named Luc, that could barely speak English, being interviewed by 'Poorman' on KROQ at about 1:00 in the morning ... I digress.
I am a father of 3, son of a gun, student of the game, very coachable player, jack of some trades, master of none.
I play both ice and roller, and can go back and forth easily.
I love the Kings through thick and thin; don't really hate on the other poor saps. I just approach them like I play hockey. If you cross the line with my goalie or get chippy with me, you'll get the same right back, only worse.
Have to be careful not to step in Mallard droppings here in Orange County, still proud to be a Kings fan among the band-wagoners.
Favorite Hockey Players:
Jamie Cooke - Knew the family. Bakerfield Condors.
Joe Cook - Bullfrogs were the *****. No relation, no fixation on names that rhyme with book.
James Stewart - Drafted by RHI. Grew up on my street.
Bobby Orr - Ahead of his time. With surgery today back then, he could still be playing. Boston Bruins.
Favorite Kings Players:
Marty McSorley - Equipment aside, he can score or knock you out on your skates (remember Jeff Odgers?).
Rob Blake - Picture in dictionary next to "hipcheck".
Paul Coffey - Brother mountain biker.
Favorite stick one-piece: S17 grip, 100 flex, Sakic curve (ice)
Favorite stick two-piece: Dolomite shaft, stiff flex, X40 blade-Naslund curve (both bullet proof for roller)
Current inline skates: Supreme 3000 boot (took off the blade holders), Redstar hi-lo frame, Millenium wheels, 2mm rocker up front.
Current ice skates: ONE75, sharpened to No. 6 flat-bottom V, UNWAXED laces interlocked.
See everyone at Frozen Fury.
Let's Go Kings!
