Dmfj! Hey everyone. Just got around to signing up for the website, and like to see how enthusiastic everyone is for the Kings; and they say L.A. has fair weather fans, pssh!
About me: I'm 24, I've played hockey for 14 years, and within the last 8 months moved to Redondo Beach, from Lancaster. Became a fan when The Great One showed us the way to win, and have been a fan since.
For a long... unfortunately, real long time, I've been waiting for the Kings to come around and develop a strong team from the core up. It seems that with the guidance of Dean Lombardi, they're finally doing it, and Thank God! I've been excited about Kopitar all season. The guy is a true scoring threat that can play responsibly. Frolov is a solid player, that I see as a constant contributor. Cammo continues to show his value, and just how talented he can be. I'm extremely impressed with the play of John Zeiler. The guy has heart, through and through... I'd take him on this team any day of the week. I'm glad to finally see O'Sullivan settle down, and look more comfortable. I have a feeling once he get's completely in sync with "his game", he's going to be a big time contributor.
Last but not least.... I'm real excited for JMFJ. The guy has the attitude of a winner, and he's courageous. A definite positive to any team. With the mentoring of Blake, I expect this player to be a corner stone for a while. As far as the goalie situation, I'm not unhappy with Garon. I think he could continue to improve, and possibly be a big time stopper... but I wouldn't mind seeing the talent in the waiting come through, and really rock the house. The Kings in my estimation are on the 2 year plan.... They will be extremely competitive, and with depth, for a while. I see them being a very exciting team... and much like what I can tell from this board - they'll have a ton of charisma, and character.
