Fan since 1967
I have enjoyed reading posts here for years, and have been a Kings fan since the days of Vic Venasky (aka The Thunder bay kid), Gilles Marotte and Bill "Cowboy" Flett. I lived in LA as a kid and grew up watching the Kings at the old forum in Englewood with my Dad and brothers. I watch every Kings game here in NYC via the NHL Center Ice package and typically go up to Bridgeport a couple times a year to watch Manchester. Over the years I have seen the Kings play in 17 different cities and still travel to see them a couple times each year mostly here on the east coast. My wife, son and daughter are all Kings fans but we have yet to see them play at the Staples Center.
I know the Kings are honoring Bob Berry this season. I was at the Atlanta Flames playoff game when he scored the only goal to help the Kings beat them in game two of that best of three playoff series. One of many great Kings memories.
I look forward to posting more in the future.
I too remember seeing all those players at the Forum. You're right. Many memories!
