    Default First Game.

    Hi Guys,

Im currently over in LA on business and have the 12/3 free and see that the Kings are playing, how easy is it to turn up on the day and buy a ticket?

I have no clue in regards to the rules but im sure it would be an excellent day out and any fights will be on the rink instead of in the stands!

    Cheers

Welcome. You might want to buy your tickets now. Chances are, they'll have tickets available at the box office.

However, we're playing the Montreal Canadiens this Saturday afternoon (12/3) so that means a lot of bandwagon and Canadians will flood the arena... and it may affect your chances at buying it at the box office.

There will be plenty of scalpers on the street selling for under face. Also try craigs, stubhub and right here (check the ticket forum) for tix under face. If you have paypal many can email you the ticket. As for on the street, scalping is not allowed on the Stadium property, but most are selling across the street. Just have cash in hand, set price in mind, most are season seat tickets so you will know they are real. Good luck and have a great time!

    Cheers guys.

Another question for you. is it better to be sat as close as possible to the glass or a bit back so you get a better view of whats going on?

It's a matter of taste. Some like to be as close to the action as possible. You really don't get a sense of the speed and grace of hockey until you've been right next to the glass. Doing so though sacrifices seeing the overall game. Again it depends on which experience you are more interested in. I personally like being about 15-20 rows back for a clear view over the glass, but up close is fun too.
Welcome onboard, be sure to pop over to the coach thread and call for TeMu's head. Dude is holding these great players back.

Ya, check out the ticket exchange area on this forum first... Then I would checkout Craigslist 2nd... I would sit as close as possible to see the speed and hits on the ice.. Sitting up high is still ok since you can see everything going on, but in my experience, sitting up close is so much better. Either way, a Kings game is fun as hell.

    Cheers guys,

I've had a quick look at stubhub/Craigslist etc but think im going to risk it as just see what I can find on the day. As I only need one ticket if I have no luck with the scalpers I will just walk up to the box office. Im getting pretty excited now!

One ticket should be easy to get. there are always singles scattered everywhere unless it's the playoffs.
