I'm a new Kings fan, actually I'm a new hockey fan in general. I was born and raised in New Orleans and have really embraced the sport. I look forward to commenting and learning more about the sport.

I've been to a few, it's part of what has me hooked.
Thanks for the welcome. Hey, a win last night and we scored more than 1 goal!
Welcome to LGK, stain!
I have to ask though... what made you decide to follow the Kings of all teams in New Orleans?

I was born and raised in New Orleans, moved to LA in '99 (my entire family is still in NO). I'm a Saints fan, Hornets fan, LSU ... I go to Saints games out here (SD/SF) and Staples whenever the Hornets are playing the Clippers and Lakers.
As you know we don't have a hockey team. In the 80s the Chicago Blackhawks owner used to show the games late at night in NO, that ended after a few years but I did enjoy the sport. I have a friend from NO out here and he is a hockey fan, for years he tried to get me to go to games with him, I always turned him down. Then the Olympics a few years ago hooked me, I started watching the Kings on TV and then started to go to games. For the past 3 seasons I've been following the team very closely (watching them on TV and attending games) and just found this site about 2 weeks ago ... and now, here I am.
Thanks to everyone for their well wishes!
My wife will have to make the gumbo, I'm better at eating it rather than making it.![]()
