I looked around and determined that I did not wish to root for any team from Detroit or Green Bay (Packers) so I looked at all the teams and determined that I loved the city of Los Angeles (why, I don't know, maybe just the name) and also loved their sports teams names Rams, Lakers and Kings...I also loved the uniform colors. So in 1981 I started rooting for those teams and have been a fanatic with them ever since. Even with the Rams moving to St. Louis.
In 1982, though, I saw the Dodgers and did not like the name nor their uniform colors so I picked the Baltimore Orioles instead. Cool name, cool players...etc. I was a young kid, so....other than baseball my teams I watch are from LA (even love the Galaxy).
Most favorite moments, the Miracle on Manchester (I'll never forget seeing ESPN sportscenter with Tom Mess when he said, "This you won't believe, but I swear it's true.." Then told about LA's comeback. The Gretzky trade, getting Ziggy Palffy, and many more with #1 being the Stanley Cup. It's been a fun 31 years, and look forward to more.
