We have some VERY good friends who now live in Columbus OH, but Mike is originally from Detroit, so I have to speak slowly and clearly to him. They were super excited when the B.J.s came to be, and bought into season tickets. We have visited them many times, mostly when the Kings were there, and we have a standing bet on the Wings/Kings and the Kings/B.J.s series. Only the last few years he doesn't want to do the B.J.s series. He actually is smarter than he looks. He has been to several Wings games here at Staples but I have to threaten him with leaving him in downtown L.A. to get him to act normally when they are in town. Welcome aboard

No one in my family liked or watched sports, so at age 14 I decided I wanted to root for sports teams but wasn't sure which teams to pick. I looked around and determined that I did not wish to root for any team from Detroit or Green Bay (Packers) so I looked at all the teams and determined that I loved the city of Los Angeles (why, I don't know, maybe just the name) and also loved their sports teams names Rams, Lakers and Kings...I also loved the uniform colors. So in 1981 I started rooting for those teams and have been a fanatic with them ever since. Even with the Rams moving to St. Louis.

In 1982, though, I saw the Dodgers and did not like the name nor their uniform colors so I picked the Baltimore Orioles instead. Cool name, cool players...etc. I was a young kid, so....other than baseball my teams I watch are from LA (even love the Galaxy).

Most favorite moments, the Miracle on Manchester (I'll never forget seeing ESPN sportscenter with Tom Mess when he said, "This you won't believe, but I swear it's true.." Then told about LA's comeback. The Gretzky trade, getting Ziggy Palffy, and many more with #1 being the Stanley Cup. It's been a fun 31 years, and look forward to more.
It's like you grew up with me here in Southern California.

And Tom Mees was the best.

You had it easier dealing with the Rams move to StL than me, since they left my hometown. I am still mad that they're gone, but they are a team that "could" move to L.A. We'll see. I would welcome any team to L.A. except the Raiders.

And you've obviously seem much more Galaxy games than I have.

    Welcome to LGK! and GKG!

Welcome, too bad the Kings just cut loose their most famous Yooper Ray Kaunisto. Join in, the bandwagon is free to ride...
