    Smile Hi from Scotland!

Hi everyone. I've been looking around the site and forums and everyone seems really friendly (and a little crazy!).

I am going to be heading over to LA soon from sunny (!) Scotland and will be watching the game against Canucks on Mar 29th. We are about to buy our game tickets online. Any advice on where to sit, cool stuff to do before/after the game, etc?

Back here in Edinburgh, Scotland we have the Edinburgh Capitals who play in the EIHL (Elite Ice Hockey League). I can't wait to see my first NHL game and this is the first time I'll be supporting another team - Let's Go Kings!

    See you all soon!!!

    Cheers.
    JD

welcome, lots to do, depends on where you will be staying. Public transportation is kind of sucky here, and we drive on the wrong side of the road.
There is not really a bad seat in Staples Center, just depends on how much money you want to spend. down in the lower bowl they run approx. 85 dollars per seat, in the 300's they average about 30 dollars.

edit: you may do well, depending on how many tickets you need to check out the Ticket Exchange Forum.

Welcome! Sounds like you're coming in for a great time.

    My thoughts...

    1. Try to get seats in sections 301 or 318. They are center ice and you can see all the action well up there. Plus that's where the crazy fans sit.

    2. Food and drinks are way expensive! I would eat out somewhere before the game. Beers are like $10 a piece or so.

    3. Enjoy! There is nothing better than live hockey!!

This is a typo... he meant to say that the crazy fans sit in section 304.

If you can afford the 200's, it's the lowest price way to sit in the lower bowl. Also, don't forget to stop by Team LA between periods, the LGK contingent hang out just inside the arena from the store.

Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy your stay and the game! Depending on how long you'll be here, there's always plenty of stuff to check out in L.A. From the Sunset Strip, to Mann's Chinese Theater, to the Hollywood Bowl, to the Santa Monica pier, to a hundred different things and a thousand different restaurants.
