There are plenty of meters around to park for FREE (after 6pm).
Did someone mention The Meters?

Thanks for the heads up guys, I enjoy all the advice.
Bossy, Trottier, Gillies, Smith, etc. are all from before my time - however I do enjoy the highlight clips of those great teams as well as meeting a bunch of the older guys and listening to their stories.
60 degrees definitely is shorts weather for me. :P It was 22 degrees outside in Manhattan today, and I walk many blocks to all my classes.
Twice Sparky has completely missed when going to give me a high five.. at least he's better than NYLES (not sure if anyone here remembers/ever knew about him).
Any other tidbits about going to the Staples Center that are good to know? Anything special at the concessions stands? Worth getting there early for warmups? Eating hotspots nearby?
I can't wait to get to In-N-Out Burger again, as well as stop by Diddy Reese.
ummm kopitar always throws a puck after warm ups right by the bench
bailey is awesome
be sure to run your mouth at the ducks "fans" the rivalry here is simular to you guys and the devils [who play here jan 10th, 2 days after this game] or you guys vs the rags
and if you get college night tickets they start at 10 bucks for that game
Eat before you get there, (if your on a budget) or across the street we will have LA Live with a ESPN Zone , and many other food spots. Or get there real early and head up near Union Station and Olvera St. good Mexican food and might even try Philippe's
Get to the game early and watch the warm up's , here in LA they will let you sit in the seat if it is not yours, so take advantage of that and go to the glass or by the players bench. As said above watch for Kopitar throwing a puck after warm ups are over.
Some of people that go to the games and post here usually hang out around the store Team LA after the first period and those that don't are upstairs by the top of the elevators. Introduce yourself and will treat you like a New Yorker
