    Default Kings Lifer

    Hello,

Been lurking for quite some time now, thought I would finally join the party while the Kings are on this amazing run.
I have met quite a few of you in front of Team LA at games this past season, look forward to meeting more of you.

I am a life long Kings fan. In fact, I just found a picture of myself as a very young boy playing in the park.
I am wearing a Kings t-shirt and the picture is dated 5/68. A true life long fan!

My dad was a season ticket holder from day one and I have been going to games since the early 70's...at least that I can remember.
Guy Lafleur, Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito the French Connection were some of the players from my early memories.
Butch Goring, Tommy Williams and Dan Maloney were some of my first heroes.

I an all these years I have never been so excited about Kings hockey!

    Go Kings Go!

Default how I started with watching Hockey in East LA

Kings Lifer-220px_los_angeles_kings_logo_1967I was sick with the chicken pox’s I'm 10yrs old my mom put the TV on what she thought was cartoons but, it was PETER PUCK on NBC I was running a fever I could not call my mom to change the channel as I watched the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Boston bruins as I continued to watch I was just sucking in all the action as my fever raged. By the end of the telecast I was totally sold on this sport called HOCKEY. I asked my mom is we had and who was our local team. of course being Hispanic and growing up in East Los Angeles my mom nor I knew the answer so I looked in the TV guide and to my amazement the LA Kings were playing the Toronto Maple leafs that night on I think KTLA I watched for the first time the forum blue and gold tie the maple leafs. So from that day one I was I think the only Hockey fan in East L.A.

I remember Peter Puck and weekend mornings watching hockey on NBC. I want to say Tim Ryan did the play by play.
For some reason I remember them showing a lot of Atlanta Flames games.
