Thread: A little about me...

It's was only about a year ago that my boyfriend introduced me to hockey. He's originally from the bay area and has been a fan of the sport since he was a kid, back since the Oakland Seals, and has followed the Sharks since the franchise started. My interest was sparked just before the season started, when we went to the Rookie exhibition game held at the Anahiem Ice facility. Being in such an intimate environment for my first game I really think is what did it.

This past season, my interest grew when I saw my first NHL game live, which was the Sharks @ Anahiem when Griess started, and ever since, I've been hooked. At the games, I get pretty vocal, almost to the point that my boyfriend gets worried he might get into a fight, but I think I actually engage the fans in my sections and get them more into the game. I don't say anything out of line, I'm just really loud.

Now, I would say I'm almost obsessed with the sport as a whole. I watch every game I can, even the minor leagues, and the NHL network daily. I try to follow as much of it as I can, and think I've picked up on it pretty quickly. What I don't know, I try to find out or ask anyone out there who might have an answer. At work, I talk to people who are knowledgeable about sports, since in So Cal nobody really follows hockey, and even when I'm at the bars, I drag people in.

If you can't tell by my name, I bleed Teal first and purple second. I've went to a number of Kings games this past season, and have become at least a partial season ticket holder of the Kings for next year. I'm very excited to see how the team does after this years draft, and even some of the trades. Especially Azevedo, I think he's the sleeper pick that you guys picked up. So far it looks like the Kings are getting better with each acquisition and are going to be a real contender soon. My reasons for coming to this site....you have Carla Muller to thank for that! I really enjoyed her blogs on Buzz, and now that she's not on there, I have to come here to get my fix of her.
